This class is taught by:

Adam Fisher

Adam is currently a Ph.D. candidate and MBA student at NC State, and he’s excited to one day start his career as a biotech entrepreneur.

Adam grew up as a runner and ran track and cross country in high school. As an undergrad at the University of Wisconsin he participated in a variety of sports like track and crew, but ended up falling in love with cycling. He joined the UW Cycling team in 2009 and was an active member for 3 years before moving to Durham, where he continues to bike and run marathons.

He took his first cycling class at RIDE in early 2016 and was instantly sold on the combination of spin and moves that gives you a total body workout. Adam’s classes will focus on building up your cardiovascular strength and will push you to your limits. Come join him on the bike and be prepared to give it your all!

Maggie Zebrine

Maggie is a UNC Chapel Hill graduate with a passion for fitness and health. She attended her first RIDE class in February of 2014 and has been riding ever since. Her background in dance has turned into a love for barre and yoga classes. Maggie keeps her ear to the ground of the music community and will keep class hot with new beats and old school jams. She will challenge and inspire you to make every RIDE worth the time out of your busy schedule. She is thankful to have found a home at RIDE Cycle Studio and hopes to see you in the saddle!

Elise Bruce

Elise found her first spinning class back in the day when pay-phones were still plentiful in Manhattan and you always had to have cash for a cab. After her first class, she was hooked on that “runner’s high,” and the calorie burn these classes offered. Years of classes and a baby later she was inspired to become an instructor herself. Elise has been teaching spinning/cycle classes for the last 10 years here in NC and in NYC which has given her great exposure and experience in the industry. A lover of Barre, Yoga and Pilates, lead her to be Barre instructor and has been teaching for the last three years. Music is supreme to how Elise creates her cycle classes, taking her clients on a journey where you connect the beat with your RIDE. Elise is RIDE CYCLE STUDIO’s creator and owner.

Maryann Thompson

Maryann is a newcomer to Durham, living and teaching spin in New Orleans for the last few years. She grew up a competitive athlete, and discovered spinning in college as a way to keep that group exercise atmosphere and continue to push herself physically and mentally (and have fun!). She became a certified instructor and personal trainer while in college, and has enjoyed helping others along their fitness journey.
Maryann believes that music is a huge workout motivator, and designs her class so the beat carries you through the entire ride. Come prepared for a fast-paced class that will challenge you to push yourself a past what you thought was your limit!

Chris Bruce

If you want to move to some serious electro house beats, then Chris’ class is what you are looking for. As a former NYC bike messenger and a current local DJ, Chris will navigate your Ride through the traffic and let the music take you to the next level.

“I love music as a fitness motivator” says Chris. “Have you ever been exercising and that certain song will come through the headphones and you feel a burst of energy? That’s your brain taking over and telling your muscles to work harder.” Chris’ class will give your mind and body that extra motivation to bring out your optimum performance.

Hard Work? Yes. Results? Check. Fun? Absolutely.

Bri Sikorski

Bri loves to be on both sides of the hall teaching both cycle and yoga! Her philosophy is that exercise should be something you look forward to everyday and brings that energy, and a smile, into the room.
She doesn't want you to come in and zone out during a workout, instead she wants you to hit that climb with just a little more resistance than last time or hold a plank and smile at yourself for pushing right into the challenge without a second thought. It's not enough to just be physically fit as mental strength is just as important. While she is going to push you outside of your comfort zone sometimes, Bri wants it to be an active choice and to be a time of exploration into how strong you truly are.
"Showing up is the hardest part" is a philosophy she truly stands by, and while she loves to see you make progress, being connected to your breath and honoring your body is a lesson she incorporates into every class. Just like you need to actively choose to challenge yourself, it's important to know when to just sit back in child's pose and breathe.
Challenges, laughter, and being welcoming to all levels is guaranteed.
#RIDE offers cardio, endurance, core connection and upper body strengthening. We move, sprint, jump and climb with the music. The (#) Weights are integrated one-two songs on their own or with the RIDE. This class will provide a challenging workout for all levels. Heart rate monitors are recommended but not necessary.
